These 25’ pontoon boats will hold a maximum of 8 people (regardless of size or age), and come equipped with a 40hp engine, aluminum top, swim ladder, life jackets, VHF radio, and all required safety equipment.

These 16’ all aluminum fishing boats hold a maximum of 4 people (regardless of size or age), and come equipped with a 40hp engine, steering console, 4 swivel seats, life jackets, VHF radio, and all required safety equipment.

Boat Rental Policies

 

¨ To reserve a boat, we require the rent and tax to be paid over the telephone with a Visa or Mastercard.  We do not accept Amex, Discover, or checks of any kind.  When we reserve a boat over the phone with a credit card, we are not just holding the card number, your card is actually being charged when you make the reservation.

 

¨ Rental rates above do not include 3% tax or cost of the fuel mixture.  Boats depart with a full tank of fuel and 2 cycle oil.  Upon return, Marina personnel refill the tanks, and the Renter is charged for the amount used.

 

¨ A $250.00 security/damage deposit is required at the time of departure, and must be Visa, Mastercard, or Cash.  Credit/debit cards used for the deposit must belong to the Renter.  Also, Renters paying their deposit with a credit or debit card should be aware that the deposit amount of $250.00 is frozen by the card issuer and unavailable for 3-10 days.  If you are using a debit card and keep a low balance in your account, this can lead to overdraft charges.  If you are using a credit card and are near your credit limit, this can lead to additional purchases being declined.  If having your $250 deposit frozen is unacceptable, you should pay the deposit in Cash.  Crosswinds Marina is not responsible for damages due to frozen security deposits, including but not limited to overdraft charges.

 

¨ Renters must: 1) be at least 25 years of age; 2) bring a valid US driver’s license; and 3) accompany the vessel at all times.

 

¨ No Pets or Grills are allowed on rental boats, and No Tubing, Skiing, or Towing of any kind (including other vessels) is permitted.

 

¨ Max capacities (regardless of size or age):  Pontoon Boat  -  8, Fishing Boat  -  4

 

¨ Renters should arrive 15 minutes prior to their departure time and will be required to read a Policy & Safety Manual.  If, in the opinion of management, the Customer does not give this Policy & Safety Manual adequate attention or does not understand the material, they may be required to pass a written test on its’ contents prior to departure.

 

¨ Renters should notify Crosswinds Marina if they will be arriving late.

 

¨ Any policy violations, violations of North Carolina law, recklessness, or inappropriate behavior (determined solely by CMI), will result in forfeiture of boat, all rental fees and entire security deposit.  Renters are responsible for any damages incurred.  Substantial penalties are charged for late returns and/or excessive uncleanliness. 

 

Cancellation of reservations made at least 7 days prior to the date of departure result in a full refund less a $10.00 processing fee.  Cancellations made within 7 days of the date of departure will only result in a refund, less a $10.00 processing fee, if the boat can be re-rented for an equivalent amount of time on the original reservation date. 

 

If it is raining at the lake at the time of departure, the Renter may call, prior to their departure time, to request a change of date or a refund.  If in the event of rain on the departure date, the Renter does not call prior to their departure time to request a change of date or a refund, they will forfeit their rental and all rental fees. 

 

 

Crosswinds Marina, Inc. reserves the unlimited right to refuse or discontinue service to any individual, if in the opinion of management, they may not fully understand their responsibilities or are incapable of safely operating a motor vessel.
